Dear Parents and Guardians,

We wanted to inform you of a temporary change to our meal program.  The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has reported an increase in Cyclosporiasis cases (an intestinal infection caused by  the Cyclospora parasite) in several states.

As a precaution, FCYFA will no longer serve the following items for breakfast, lunch, or snacks, effective immediately:

1. All fresh lettuce or bagged salad

2. Carrots

3. Celery

Please keep your child home and contact your healthcare provider if your develops symptoms of cyclosporiasis, such as watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, or fatigue.

We will let you know when it is safe to resume serving these items.  Thank you for your understanding
